Three media. Three stages.

The Premium kit also includes three InVitro Garden Aroid media:

01 - ESTABLISH
For the initial establishment of plant material in vitro.
↓
02 - MULTIPLY
For the multiplication stage, where established cultures can be propagated.
↓
03 - ROOT
For the rooting stage before plants are eventually transitioned out of culture.

Additional supplies such as Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) and MS-medium are included to give you a more complete working setup and more freedom to experiment.

How to use Aroid Media?

1. Weigh out approx. 17.25g aroid medium powder (11.1g for rooting Medium) and add to ~400 mL water and dissolve.
2. Use pH buffers to adjust pH to ~5.6–5.8 (measure with pH meter or strips).
3. Add 3-4g agar, heat to dissolve.
4. Top up with water to 500ml total media, dispense into jars and sterilise in autoclave/pressure cooker.
5. Let cool before introducing plant material.

Adjust ingredients according to wanted amount of finished media solution. Example: for 1L media instead, double the amount of ingredients used in the recipe. 

What You'll Need

• Still Air Box (SAB) or Laminar Flow Hood
• 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA)

Plant material

• Healthy aroid donor plant
• Surface sterilization agents: 70% ethanol, 10–20% bleach, sterile distilled water

Equipment

• Pressure cooker or autoclave
